There are polite ways to ask a teacher what their qualifications are and if that seems difficult you can always ask Starlight for the exact details! Don't forget to record what they say as you might need it in court!

In general about Robert. I think you'll find he does mean well but he has got to an age where it is very difficult for him to adopt new ideas, put the energy and prepartion needed into the classes he teaches. Why would he anyway when he is not being paid properly, if at all?

What would be best is that when you have classes with other Starlight students from now you form your own classes and find yourself a teacher that you all like and are happy with. You can do exactly what Starlight is doing now and use the same places they use! You are not a business! Like they are...but they claim they are not! You are just a study group, you collect a little money from everyone to pay the teacher that you ask to come and off you go! Several classes we have heard in Starlight have been disgusted with the way they have been treated by Starlight and have formed their own groups! Start your own! Starlight cannot complain as it is not a business! Is it Starlight?!!! Or is it? ...Tell us!

And don't listen to their legal threats! It's a load of trash and totally untrue! And if they do pursue you it will only show they have money!!! And then guess what will happen! They are in a no win situation!

But I have never heard of that the class was repeatedly held on . Many students seeking "rather" higher skill to favour the communicative English are likely to dissapoint at this negative out-put and we uselessly managed to be  patient in the class. If Robert were much nicer expert to teach and attract the new and intentional students, the positive reputation on him could be significant leverage of SLEC to attract a lot of new students as customer. But ,as time went by, his exclusive status as the sole teacher with no altenate inclined to close the door in fromt of us to meet facsinating new friends. It was, needless to say, a vicious circle with a negative chain reaction. AbyKyokan.
